The SUEZ Group works in two complementary areas:energy and the environment.

For 150 years, the guideline for our business has consisted in providing public utility services to local authorities, industry, and individuals in electricity, gas, energy, water, and waste services.

Within the SUEZ Group, SUEZ Environment federates all the environmental skills in terms of water management, sanitation, and waste services.

With a sales turnover of EUR 11.4 billion in 2006, the environment represents 26% of the activities of the SUEZ Group. In Europe, waste services and water management correspond respectively to 44% and 33% of that figure.

SUEZ Environment aims to be a reference in both water and waste services. That ambition is backed by asserting the values of professionalism, partnership and value creation for the benefit of the community at large, based on tried and tested principles: local integration, a high level of technical expertise, and an effective contribution to sustainable development.
